A JOYFUL JOURNEY THROUGH A WORLD IN CHANGE
At the heart of a once-glorious kingdom that has lost its king, Alegría witnesses the power struggle at play between the old order and a new movement yearning for hope and renewal.
On one side are the Aristocrats and their wannabe king, a fool who lays claim to the throne and desires to keep the established order. On the other side is an emerging movement of youth and humanity, springing forth from the streets to shake the status quo.
You are about to be thrust into the uplifting story, the breathtaking acrobatics, the playful humor, and the iconic music of Cirque du Soleil’s quintessential spectacle.

THE MEANING BEHIND ALEGRÍA
The word “Alegría” is Spanish for joy, elation, happiness and jubilation.
In the production, you’ll hear “Alegría” as a cry from the heart, shouted out in love, beauty and poetry.
